Zandvlakte Private Natuurreservaat

Zandvlakte Private Nature Reserve is located in the centre of the Baviaanskloof heartland, and offers dinner, bed and breakfast, or self-catering accommodation on a working farm. The jewel of South Africa's wilderness areas, the Baviaanskloof conservancy, borders the historical property Zandvlakte in the centre of the Baviaanskloof valley.

The private family farm offers units all built in a unique style. It includes family units sleeping up to six people and fully equipped self-catering units. Two of the units do not have electricity, only candles and gas. You will still find the original ceilings and yellowwood floors at the farmsteads, dating back to the early 1900s.

Guests should be aware that there are no restaurants in this remote area and meals at our establishment need to be pre-booked. Full farm breakfasts and three-course buffet dinners are available. No petrol or diesel available in the valley. Zandvlakte has catered for many workshops on international level in a rustic barn.
