Nestled in the treetops of the African bush with magical views over Marloth and Kruger National Park and the distant mountain ranges, this lodge is certain to provide an unforgettable experience. Zulwini Tree House is a two-bedroom cottage on a raised platform incorporated around a living tree. Come eye to eye with a giraffe while sipping morning coffee or a well-deserved sundowner while experiencing the magic as the African sunsets directly in front of you. This cosy home in the bush contains two well-appointed bedrooms, a bathroom, a living area and a fully equipped kitchen. To make this lodge extra special, there is also an outdoor open and sheltered braai and eating area, so no need to leave the canopy. Positioned in the bush only minutes' walk away from the famous Crocodile River and Kruger National Park, you can while away the day listening to the grunting hippo and lamenting cry of the fish eagle which are recognized as the real sounds of Africa. Wildlife is never far away and in the garden expect visits from zebra, warthog, kudu and the resident duiker, and become friends with giraffe feeding off the tree. Then as night sets in, experience the thrill as the big boys take over and relax in bed listening to the roar of the lion and the whoop of the hyena. If wildlife is your thing, this lodge is without doubt the place to be.

ZULWINI TREE HOUSE RESENSIES (76 %) Beautiful by Jani Allan, South Africa 22 April 2013 Beautiful - we had a wonderful weekend. All you need is your food and other personal stuff. Well equipped and everything was in working order. Recommended! Weekend Getaway by Angel Angleov, South Africa 23 February 2016 We spent 3 nights in Marloth Park. It was an excellent time to visit the Krugar Park. The location works great for day visits. The accommodation was good, had all the amenities and was clean. The second night the power went off at 8pm and came back on at 10am. Temperatures ranged from 30-35deg Celsius, so we had no choice but to empty the contents of the fridge to keep things fresh. The second night the gas bottle finished - so no hot water. Fortunately we were relocated to another lodge which was appreciated. Could we rest? Not really, the power outage, keeping food cold, no hot water to shower was stressful. It felt like Majuli was neglected a bit from a services perspective. The air-conditioning units were only available in one of the bedrooms and the lounge - the second bedroom had only fans - which re-circulated the warm air.
Value for money - definitely!!
But pay the extra penny for a stress free stay somewhere else.
Nature by Ulrich Van Schalkwyk 19 June 2017 Hi we enjoyed the stay but i must say i was disappointed with the house as there was a hole in the bathroom by the shower the toilet is loose geyser was not working properly the tap at zink is loose. Im really disappointed and expectations was far more then what we got out. Out side Light was not working either I loved the peace and quiet by Sumarli De Beer 09 January 2018 Thank you so much for a great stay.....the tree house has all the basics that you would need for a break-away. Loved it and would recommend it for others. Extremely Unprofessional Service - Did not stay in the house that was booked by Dylan Paton 25 March 2018 We were supposed to stay at Majuli Tree House on the evening of the 22nd of March, 2018. We messaged the agents' numbers as soon as we were through the border from Mozambique to let them know that we were on our way and to ask where to collect the keys. After no response from Dean, we received a reply from Maritza informing us that we had been moved to a different unit. We'd thus far received no communication that we would be moved to an alternative property, which can only be regarded as hugely unprofessional behaviour!
Once we'd arrived at the new accommodation, we could clearly see that the chalet we'd been moved to had only one bedroom - UNACCEPTABLE for the TWO couples that we were. The one bed wasn't even a proper bed, but rather a folded out sleeper couch. The fact that the chalet was described as an "upgrade" was also entirely questionable - going from a private 2 bedroom home to a one bedroom chalet can't be considered an upgrade in anyone's book, especially when the chalet next door was having an insanely raucous braai a stone's throw away; this sort of situation is why we'd booked a private house.
We were eventually relocated to a new house, but the night had been ruined to a very large degree. Marloth is very quickly developing a reputation for poor service, something that should be remedied as quickly as possible. This sort of situatuon has been experienced by friends and family members when booking for Marloth through SafariNow, which leads me to believe that the situation can't be just a few isolated incidents.
I will only be accurately rating on the overall experience, since I was never afforded the "luxury" of seeing the actual establishment I booked. The fact that the animals was eating below the deck when you feed them by Dalene Sadler 26 March 2018 We loved the privacy and the deck. Two planks on the deck was loose and we had a problem with the water in the shower it was either hot or cold you couldn't set it in between. Warm water shower head was loose. Only 3 teaspoons when we came. But not withstanding one of our best experiences. Being in the bush and away from the hustle and bustle of city life by Gary Meintjes 09 April 2018 The unit is very hot and air-conditioning in rooms battled. The knobs on the stove are not working properly and difficult to tell what the setting is. Main bedroom does not have a mosquito net. The unit was clean, comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The wildlife by Magda Kruger 22 May 2018 I love everything. I just missed my television when it was dark. During the day there is no time to be board. Birds in the surrounding trees by Lyn Brown 07 July 2018 Lovely deck to sit out on, unfortunately we arrived late and had to leave early so we could not discover the area properly Majuli Tree Lodge Review by Cheryl Ceronie 11 August 2018 Spectacular View. Great communication, accommodated our late arrival and early departure. Well equipped unit, comfortable deck chairs and beds. Overall great unit with all the amenities you need. Majuli Tree Lodge - August, 2018 by Enid Whelan 29 August 2018 We had a memorable stay at Majuli. Very rustic and adventurous. The beds are very comfortable. The cottage plain but clean. A few minor 'hiccups' were brought to Dean's attention which I am sure will soon be sorted. The Wildlife We saw 4 of the big 5 by Magda Kruger 31 October 2018 I loved everything. No complaints. Only the toaster trip the lights. This is out second visit to this house and I will do it again. Thank you Ian and Dean. Lovely stay by Debbie Swart 12 November 2018 It was a great experience. Having a braai at night while zebras and other wildlife walk past was the best for me. Bush babies come out at night onto the deck which was so nice to see. ZULWINI TREE HOUSE LIGGING
