Zwartkop Guestfarm is situated on a working farm, 60km outside of Ceres (20km of which is dirt road).

We offer bed, breakfast and dinner (at additional costs). The farm comprises of one cottage with two bedrooms and a bathroom, a "DW (Dirty Weekend)" fully-equipped self-catering tent and two rustic "shacks".

Each features a well-equipped gas-operated kitchen, small solar systems for lighting, outside braai facilities and an outside bath. The cottage also features an open-plan dining room and lounge with an indoor fireplace.

We now have a lapa with restaurant facilities with a set menu as well as a swimming pool. The farm also offers guests parking on the premises.

Zwartkop Guestfarm is close to great attractions such as the Aquila Nature Reserve, Inverndoorn Game Reserve, Tankwa National Park, Tankwa Padstal, the Stadsaal Caves and the Breedekloof Wine Route.

ZWARTKOP GASTEPLAAS RESENSIES (98%)


The perfect getaway, not too far from Cape Town but in a beautiful part of the Tankwa Karoo that can be easily reached without some kind of off-road vehicle. Highly recommended for everyone who enjoys the quietness of pure nature, a good hiking trail and/or some easy Karoo trail running with the possibility of encountering wildlife. We will be back!

Tankwa Gasvryheid by

Ons het n wonderlike rustige naweek by Zwartkop gehad. Die eienaars is vriendelik en baie gasvry en n mens kan nie anders as om te voel asof jy by die huis saam met goeie vriende is nie. Die plaas is lekker groot en ons kon hardloop deur al die wildskampe en het selfs op n trop gemsbokke afgekom. Die uitsigte is asemrowend en die lug skoon. Die veld is baie divers en die boesmantekeninge was n aangename verrassing. Ons het verfris en uitgerus terug huistoe, by die Tankwa padstal n laaste paar verversings geniet en Katbakkies-pas terug gery huistoe. Aan te beveel! Sal defintitief weer gaan.
PS.
Die cottage is eenvoudig toegerus soos ons dit verkies in die karoo met gastoestelle.
Die binnebraai is wonderlik wanneer die windjie koud sny buite!

One of our best experience in Western Cape by

My wife and I went to Dawie's place while travelling around the western cape, and it was one of our best experience in South Africa. Dawie is a heartful and welcoming person, the bush tent was a perfect mix between adventure and comfort, and the area is magic. At sundown, we even walk along with some wild Oryxs. Definitely would recommand!

Beautiful isolation by

This place is an oasis in the middle of nowhere. The cottage is lovely, clean, welcoming and well stocked. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We were a bit surprised by the 20 or so kilometres of dirt road to get there and we were not in the right car (we may not have booked if we'd known). Get a 4x4 and enjouy! But the view is spectacular, the cottage comfortable and the welcome very warm. We really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely peace and quiet by

"Dirty Weekend" tented camp has everything for a peaceful comfortable stay, even an outdoor bath! We had a wonderful time in this beautiful area.

The privacy & the peace & the stars by

I absolutely loved my stay at Zwartkop! The hosts were friendly & helpful. The accommodation was amazing!! Clean, comfortable, private. It is such a romantic place to stay. I especially loved the quiet, the stars, the outdoor shower, the comfy bed & the rusks left for us by Dawie the host. I will definitely be back to stay longer next time!!

Starry starry night by

We were fortunate that our stay coincided with the New Moon, I cannot remember ever having seen the stars with such amazing clarity. It was spectacular! We wanted to get away from it all and that box was ticked - nature - enjoyable walks - the labyrinth with it's beautiful messages and games night with the kids. What more could you ask for.

Mid week getaway by

The dirt roads were not as bad as expected and the hospitality and accommodation were really great. Very enjoyable and I will definitely go back.
