Affi Lande Guestfarm & Wedding Venue

Set in the spectacular Eastern Free State and surrounded by the magnificent Witteberg Mountains, Rooiberg Mountains and the Maluti Mountains, Affi Lande Guest Farm is a sandstone mountain retreat which is excitingly different. It is situated 5 km from the Kwela 2013 town of the year, Fouriesburg, 35 km from Clarens and 10 km from the Caledon borderpost to Lesotho.

All 3 of the chalets are fully equipped for self-catering, fitted with a kitchen, a large patio, a built-in sandstone braai and fireplace, daybeds and quality tables and chairs. All chalets are private and spacious with 2 bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, queen-size bed with Egyptian cotton linens and down feather duvets and pillows. The kitchen comprises a stove with an oven, a microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge and cutlery and crockery.

You can cuddle up on a comfy couch in front of the fireplace in Bloureen chalet, or enjoy a board game whilst sipping on a complimentary glass of sherry.

The only unit that is not self-catering is the Hartbeeshuisie, but it offers tea- and coffee-making facilities and a big private boma. Morung, which means in the bush in Sotho, is our luxury bush wood cabin.

Attention to detail has been seen to all over and you can expect a chocolate and flower on your pillow, freshly baked rusks and coffee- and tea-making facilities in your chalet.

Put on your walking shoes and take a stroll on the comfortable footpath through the pine woods to the Rebel memorial or take your mountain bike through the trail. Book for a trip to the water tunnels which will be a memorable experience, or a picnic on the mountain (only in summer and if weather permits) You will be driven up the mountain and picnic basket with decadent treats will await you under the shade of a poplar pergola, with lanterns and comfy blankets will make for a romantic affair.

Pack your fishing rod and enjoy some fishing under the Weeping Willows down by the dam.
Visit the "Belofte bos" bush church under 100-year old acorn trees, and if you want to be more active, there is a 4x4 and horse riding trail only 5 km away. There is also a fairytale castle, right out of a Spielberg film, only 8 km away and a trip can be arranged. There is a dinosaur route, where footprints caught in sandstone can be seen.

AfriSki resort is 80km away and is ideal for a day visit from our establishment where you can enjoy a day in the snow.

Caledonspoort border post is 8km away and the gateway to Lesotho.

Affi lande is a haven for an escape with family and friends.We have a large boma and stone barn where 20 people can be seated and braai.
