DRIFTWOOD COTTAGE (80 %) Fantastic by Ettienne Ferreira, South Africa 15 January 2016 We had a wonderful time during our stay at Driftwood cottage. It is peaceful, central and we can spend hours and hours on that lovely stoep. The cottage is clean and tidy and left us happy and fulfilled in all our holiday needs! We brought our bicycles along and enjoyed safe trips along the lake side and up to the beach. We will definitely book this lovely cottage again! The Charming Driftwood Cottage by Paul Foster, South Africa 04 March 2016 Driftwood Cottage is a charming place to stay for a holiday. It is centrally situated for all parts, comfortable, clean and very well provisioned in terms of crockery, towels, and other essential equipment. The spacious deck looks out over the lagoon and is ideal for a relaxing braaii after a busy day of sightseeing, or hanging out on the beach. Security is excellent. All in all a very pleasant experience. Many thanks to Suzette Taylor of Eden Rentals, and the Owner, Heidi, for their efficiency and concern that our stay should be perfect.

Driftwood Cottage February 2017 by Claudia Neethling, South Africa 14 February 2017 We visit Sedgefield annually. This year however our stay was disappointing because of our accommodation. We were not informed that a tenant also resides on the property. The cottage advertisement gives the impression that it is a stand alone house, it is not. Another unit is situated directly behind the cottage and the tenants' access gate is situated directly next to one of the bedrooms. We did not feel that the price we paid was reflected in the standard of the accommodation. Establishment Response: We were sad to learn of this guest's disappointment, and have taken measures to increase privacy. The garden flat has a separate entrance and its own garden. Usually, guests and tenant respect each other's privacy, but some awareness of each other or nearby neighbors or passers-by is inevitable in a lively town. Guests are encouraged to let us know of any difficulties during their stay so that we can attend to them. The owner, Driftwood Cottage. Sitting on the porch watching the sun set over the lagoon by Rose Fekken 08 January 2018 Charming house with a lovely front stoep. Keys were a bit of an issue, with some broken and not working properly. The place needs more crockery and dishes and bowls, a person does not want to wash dishes twice a day to eat. Very clean, decent beds and linen and towels. TV a bit old and DSTV did not work. Establishment Response: Thanks Rose for positive comments. The dishwasher does demand more crockery, now supplied. I'm sorry you didn't mention the DSTV to my local agent during your stay, as it does work. We advise guests to bring their own decoder and smart card to activate a ?holiday switch?, OR we can activate ours for a small additional daily rate. With kind regards, Heidi, Owner, Driftwood Cottage, Sedgefield. Photo's can be deceiving by Kelvin Adams 14 August 2018 The pics on the website doesnt do Driftwood Cottage enough justice. We were pleasatly surprised by the size and location of the house. The house is a great for a family of four and well situated to shops and sea! The fireplace came in really handy on the cold winters day we expericed. The house is good value for money.
I was a bit disappointed that the DStv which had been requested to be activated was initially intermittent on the first day and then didn't work at all for the remainder of the weekend. Not much of an attempt was made to restore the problem.
Other areas that could be improved upon are heaters in the bedrooms as it is bitterly cold in winter especially for the kids as well as a towel refresh as they were quite rough.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back in future and will recommend to friends. DRIFTWOOD COTTAGE
