Our guest house is designed to provide the comfort, space and privacy that one would expect from a 4 Star establishment. It is set in a lush, tropical garden that borders the nature reserve.

African Ambiance is surrounded by tranquil koi ponds and water features, creating the ideal ambience to relax. The thatched home has very spacious rooms with en-suite bathrooms, private entrances, patios, air- conditioning, safes and tea trays. The Honeymoon Room has a spa bath, TV and fridge.

Breakfast is served at leisure in the dining room or on the patio overlooking the rock pool. Delight in seeing antelope, squirrels, monkeys and birds. Dinner can be served on request and there are numerous restaurants within walking distance. We offer a laundry service and the hosts are dedicated to making their guest's stay an unforgettable one.

Things to do in the area include Big 5 game viewing, night drives, kayaking and estuary boat cruises to view the crocs, hippos and birds. Guests can also enjoy snorkelling, fishing, horse riding, whale and turtle watching in season and off-road or self-drive experiences. There is a crocodile centre and a golf course, or guests can browse around the shops in the village.

We had a wonderful time. Laura and John were great hosts, the guest house beautiful, clean, comfortable.

Something special indeed by

The stay in the African Ambience Guesthouse has been one of the highlights of our holiday. Already when arriving at the house, you notice the efforts done to create something special. The house and its surroundings look magificent. The garden, pool ( although small ) and fish pond are the finishing touch. Remarkable was the time taken to explain to us the possibilities to explore the area and relaxing. John and Laura try really to make you feel at home. Great customer orientation. Keep up the good work.

My eight-year-old daughter Jessie and I stayed at the guest house for five nights recently and loved it! John was so helpful and arranged trips for us every day in and around St Lucia. Breakfast was fabulous with plenty to eat and even special pancakes for my daughter which she loved! Thank you for your hospitality. I hope we can return one day!

Good place to stay by

We stayed for one night at the guest house and found it appropriate and a good place to stay over. The ambiance is good and the hosts organised a very nice boat trip for us. The atmosphere in general is professional, however it's not as 'familiar' as we experienced it elsewhere.
