African Relish - Doringbos Cottage is typical Karoo accommodation surrounded by indigenous veld. The cottage is located in the quietest corner of Prince Albert with one bedroom sleeping a total of two guests.

The one bedroom has air-conditioning, an en-suite bathroom, a panel heater and a fan with the choice of a king-size bed or two single beds. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and a large family room with an open fireplace. All linen and towels are provided, with tea and coffee facilities and homemade rusks included. There is a large private succulent garden to relax in and secure off-street parking available to all guests.

The African Relish restaurant is open by special arrangement for private functions and dinners. Cooking course participants will sometimes assist in the preparation of the dishes served to restaurant guests as part of the cooking experience. Guests are welcome to interact with our kitchen team and discuss the menu in between courses. Our menu changes each week, designed around season and local produce, and takes Karoo cuisine on a contemporary journey.

Fantastic little place, very quiet on the outskirts of Prince Albert. Highly recommended. Only problem was the indoor fireplace that smoked a lot. Will be back!

Very nice but overpriced - no hot water by

This cottage is very pleasant and clean. But for the price they do not include breakfast which is a problem for over nighters. There was a selection of tea and coffee, but for some reason, not ceylon tea. There is no hot water in the bathroom, clearly a problem with the plumbing.
