This historical monument consists of a Main Cottage and a Rear Cottage which are separated by a garden courtyard. The establishment is one of 18 historical slave quarters, which once formed two whole blocks and is now a proclaimed National Monument.
The Main Cottage has a downstairs bedroom with an extra length queen-size bed with an adjacent bathroom, an upstairs twin bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, and an open-plan kitchen and living room overlooking the courtyard. The kitchen is comprehensive with appliances, an oven and hob, microwave oven, a fridge-freezer, as well as a scullery with a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble-dryer.
The Rear Cottage comprises a bedroom with a queen-size bed, a bathroom and a kitchenette with appliances, an oven and hob, dishwasher and a mini fridge-freezer. Both cottages feature air-conditioning, a TV with a DVD player, Moketi down duvets and pure cotton linen.
The cottages are situated in a block adjacent to the main campus of the University of Stellenbosch and is thus in the heart of Stellenbosch, with supermarkets and restaurants all within walking distance. Parking is available for an additional R20 per day. Please note that we require a minimum stay of two nights.
