A world away from the lush, safari-visited jungles and plains of Africa, Namaqualand, a largely unknown and overlooked corner of South Africa offers a beauty unsurpassed by all else. Agama Tented Camp invites you to experience this drought-ravaged wilderness both in and out its world-renowned floral season. The bush camp is based 20 km north of Garies and accommodates 14 people.

The comfortable tented accommodations, all have their own private bathrooms and spacious decks from where you can absorb this relatively unexplored part of the country. Whether it is an early morning drive, sundowners with breathtaking views, a hike or huddled around a fire in the Kookskerm boma, Agama Tented Camp will touch all your senses and offer you an unforgettable experience. A full English breakfast and dinner is included in the rate.

Great overnight stay with my friends from England despite miserable weather. Warm welcome, superb skaapvleis dinner, very comfortable tent although bathroom a bit cold and breezy in the winter wind.

What an unbelievable experience. The best place we stayed during our trip. Fantastic scenery! The "tents" are fantastic with everything you need. Great dinner and breakfast. Go there!

Perfect spot in unspoiled nature by

I loved the way Victor and Linda made us feel at home. The tent was great. Including the hot water bag to warm up the bed in the cold Namakwa night. With Karin I discussed the different ways to make boboti. The camp is part of a farm and completely self suffucient. Impressing.
