Agoro Lodge is located in the Ganta Afeshum district, 5 kilometres from Adigrat, North Ethiopia. From Ganta Afeshum you have access to a wide range of attractions such as rock hewn churches, country life, amazing cliffs and, a good variety of wildlife and different historical sites such as Axum, Adwa, Gunda Gundo and the Dobre Damo monasteries.

All our rooms are designed following traditional local architecture. We have used environmental friendly construction techniques, local hand-chiselled stones according to Ethiopian local tradition, stone-made roofs and wooden ceiling interiors. Rooms are equipped with high quality furniture supplied by different social projects that support unemployed youth and other socially vulnerable groups, always giving priority to materials sourced from the surrounding areas.

Agoro Lodge offers you a wide variety of high quality services that will help you enjoy, relax and be in touch with the local community and traditions of the Ethiopian culture. The restaurant offers both traditional and international menus. The open leisure space is the perfect place to enjoy evening get-togethers around a bonfire, storytellers and other entertainment for guests to enjoy and learn about local traditions and Ethiopian culture.
