Al Thandiwe SafarisMokopane, Limpopo, South Africa Lodge from R 330 (family units from R 1,590) | R 330 |
Situated in pristine Bushveld, two and a half hours from Johannesburg and the OR Tambo International Airport, the reserve is owned by Adel Sumait, a Kuwaiti national and Marc Armstrong, a British national. It is with their dedication, vision and rare understanding of the land and its finely balanced ecosystem that this unique place was brought to its full potential.
Al Thandiwe Safaris is one of the biggest privately owned game ranches in the Mokopane district in the Limpopo province in South Africa ? a total area covering more than 12 000ha of land.
The game ranch has exceptional game and offers sightings of some of the best specimens of South Africa's plains game and most extraordinary wildlife. Particularly impressive in numbers, our population of large plains game such as gemsbok, eland, zebra, kudu, blue wildebeest, giraffe and waterbuck and medium plains game species such as blesbuck, red hartebeest, common reedbuck and impala enchant our guests with frequent sightings and close-range viewing.
Al Thandiwe is contained in nature's own amphitheatre - a vast Wilderness with an aura of majestic splendour created by the Buffelshoek mountain range. In the lower-lying area the land displays vast plains with vistas of pristine Bushveld from the mountains.
