..............This is a Self-catering establishment. Owner resides in a separate Unit with private entrance. Key to be collected at the house.NB. No music to be played as it is a very quiet area, and it disturbs the neighbours.NB. No smoking in the house, smoke outside or upstairs in the braai area.
Comfortable, fully equipped, two bedroomed home, with lounge,dining room, kitchen open-plan areas, two bathroom's and outdoor barbeque area on upper deck.The lounge TV has DSTV Compact package.Garage Parking.
Situated in world famous pristine fynbos area surrounded by mountains, with the sea and lovely beach six minutes walk away. Nice surroundings suitable for cycling and hiking and fishing. Short rides will take you to the penguin reserve, black oystercatcher reserve and wild flower reserve,Harold Porter Botanical Gardens. A unique experience is to be had between July and November, when the Southern Right whales appear all along our South Western coastline to mate and give birth to their young in the sheltered bays. Quite exciting Betty's Bay is situated approximately 130 km from Cape Town and 50 km from Hermanus, both beautiful drives. THE UNIT: This comfortable self-catering home comprises of Lounge, Open Plan kitchen, dining area plus two bedrooms upstairs with patio with built in braai. Bedrooms upstairs:BEDROOM 1 is has a Double bed with built in cupboards BEDROOM 2 has Twin beds with built in cupboard, bedding is supplied. The Upstairs bathroom with bath, shower, washbasin and toilet. Downstairs bathroom with shower toilet and wash basin.House rules and general Do's and dont's. Only booked guests allowed, no extra non-paying visitors allowed.... Smoking outside and on patio only. Sorry no pets allowed. No loud noise and music allowed. No parties allowed. Note this house is not accessible for wheelchairs. ***Check in between 3pm and 7pm. ***Departure time 10 am . If necessary arrival/departure time can be negotiated. The Lessor shall not be responsible for any loss, injury, damage or inconvenience that may be caused to the Lessee, or any of their property whether results from any defects ,latent or patent in the building or grounds of the property.

Excellent stay by

Very cosy and child friendly. Excellent breakaway for a quick break from the city bustle.



Being a long weekend and wanting somewhere affordable to stay on the "Whale Coast" , I managed to find Gilmour  in Betty's Bay.  Such an affordable rate and lovely accomodation.  There were 3 of us staying there, with plenty of room. Clean and close to the beach. Suzanne was very friendly and informative of where things were in the town.  Lock up garage for the hire car was a bonus. The flight of stairs up to the bedrooms would be my only concern if you are frail or in a wheelchair. Otherwise, a fantastic few days in Betty's Bay.

Had a lovely stay, everything needed was in place and there are ample living space for everyone. Privacy and security was very good. Would have loved darker curtains in the rooms...

The place was exactly as had been described. There was enough room, it was clean and comfortable. I have no complaints.

Very comfortable. Could enjoy my stay. No interference.

Liked the space, parking and comfortable beds. Didn't like no wifi and a little spartan owing to security measures.

Everything promised was there. Nothing that can think of that needs attention!

My family and I enjoyed our stay. Child friendly, homely, safe and clean environment. Very friendly and accommodating service. Will definitely go back again.
