Aqua View Riverside Guest House is nestled on the Vaal River, in the heart of the beautiful tourist town of Parys. Situated next to the entrance of the Parys Golf & Country Estate and located near the hub of activities. We are within walking distance of the famous Bree/Water Street renowned for the antique shops, quaint little places and restaurants. You may even want to bring your ?fur kids' with, given that we are a pet friendly establishment. You can shop to your hearts content and return to the quiet, serene surroundings of Aqua View Riverside Guest House. You can either book a private room or you can book the whole house for your family/friends/colleagues to enjoy. We have 4 double rooms and 2 family rooms all with en-suite bathrooms, 5 of which have their own private entrance. We can sleep 16 guests comfortably and up to18 guests maximum. We offer spacious and comfortable accommodation with a tasteful flair of modern elegance at affordable prices. All rooms have DSTV, wall heaters, electric blankets, a coffee station, toiletries, fan, fridge which includes a honesty bar. your booking.The available facilities on the premises include a African Boma, Braai, Lapa, Pizza Oven and a fully stocked bar area. Aqua View Riverside Guest House is ideal for a Romantic Getaway, Businessman, Conferences, Weddings, Bachelors, Bachelorettes and Family Gatherings. If you would like to have your own braai you are welcome to do so. After warming up on our private chipping green along the river you can go out with confidence to play your 18 holes at Parys Golf & Country Estate or Vaal de Grace just around the corner with our affordable golfing and accommodation packages available on request..We also host small weddings accommodating up to 80 guests on the grounds. Our stay in the Blue Crane Room wasn't horrible, but it definitely wasn't what I expected. I feel that the descriptions provided were not accurate and are very debatable: "...double doors that open up onto a private garden" - It was basically just mud. No grass even. We didn't bother even opening the doors to this tiny "garden" (which also wasn't all that "private" either. It just borders on the big/actual communal garden). "The bathroom has a lovely blue transparent roof where the moon and the stars shine through at night" - This was what made me book this room pretty much. It's hardly a bathroom, it's just a built-on toilet with a shower and sink. It's tiny and although technically I guess it was a "blue transparent roof", you couldn't see anything through it. Felt more like a small pool house. I found this really misleading and not nearly as romantic as you would think it'd be. Super bummed about this. They should show a picture of this, for people to know what they're really in for. - There was something wrong with the toilet. It kept making strange noises all through the night, which is really annoying when trying to sleep. - Couldn't get the TV's sound to work. We had the volume up on the TV as well as the decoder, but couldn't hear anything, which made having a TV in the room pointless. - It states that this room has a river view, which it really doesn't. It's very close to the river which is nice but I couldn't really see the river from the window (maybe through the trees and bushes if you really tried). You'd have to leave the room to see the river properly. Again, misleading. Miriam was really helpful and friendly when she was there, so we can't complain about that. It was just frustrating that when we realised all these things and needed help (with the toilet and the TV), there was no one there to assist. Maybe I just expected way more, but regardless of my expectations, I do still think that the descriptions are misleading. The room was clean and nicely decorated though, but that was about it.

Lovely weekend getaway by

Stayed at Aqua View Riverside for over a weekend. We had booked four rooms and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms and bathrooms are exceptionally neat and tidy. Very relaxing weekend. Garden area is stunning. I would suggest a family getaway at this guesthouse.

Expected more by

Unfortunately we expected more for the price we paid, the pictures are misleading. The place (building and garden) needs attention as it is a bit run down. The microwave did not work and a fan is not the best idea for a room without a ceiling.
