Arco-Iris Lodge is a great breakaway lodge situated about 35 km north of Xai-Xai in Mozambique. Arco-Iris Lodge is a coastal holiday destination for families, friends, touring groups and individuals who want to relax in the peaceful nature of Mozambique. We offer a wide and open swimming beach that is peaceful.

We offer twenty campsites, a restaurant and bar as well as a safe swimming beach. A 4x4 vehicle is necessary to reach the camp, however arrangements can be made if you don't have this type of vehicle. Accommodation is available in chalets, built with the influence of the local architectural style and on campsites blended into nature with minimum disturbance to the local fauna and flora. All are within a walking distance from the beach. We do not have electricity; our generator provides lighting to the ablutions, chalets and restaurant.

The restaurant overlooks the beach and ocean, and is a popular meeting place for young and old. We serve delicious dishes such as seafood platters, calamari, hamburgers, steaks and our specialty is pizzas. Our bar has DStv for those wanting to watch their favorite sporting events.

Camping in Mozambique by

Beautiful campsite. Don't feel like you are on top of anyone else. Although there are not enough ablutions per block especially for the ladies. The restaurant is very run down which seems to be a direct result of the overall interest taken by the owners. The resort on next door welcomes guests from here and makes them feel right at home. The local staff are very helpful and very friendly. Not a bad place however I would only go back to have a rugged week with my boat and spend as much time on the water as possible.

Only two days in Paradise Magoo this time, but so peaceful and relaxing! Great walks in the dunes and fun in the sea in mid winter, what a treat. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, no frills camping experience. Great restaurant too, thank your your warm hospitality.
