Our luxurious self-catering house, on the beach in Wilderness, offers panoramic views of the ocean and golden beach. The house has a modern, fully equipped kitchen, and barbeque facilities on the patio, where steps through the indigenous garden lead to the wonderful Wilderness beach. The spacious entertainment areas consist of a lounge with fireplace, dining room, and TV room with satellite television (DSTV). The four en-suite bedrooms sleep up to eight people. Wilderness beach offers wonderful long walks, shell collecting, dolphin and whale watching, surfing, kayaking and swimming. The seaside village of Wilderness offers many outdoor activities including hiking, canoeing, scenic walks and bird watching, horse riding and off-road cycling and driving. For the truly adventurous, hang-gliding and paragliding are ideal here. The less energetic are catered for with charming restaurants, spas, and shops in the village. The Garden Route Mall, offering supermarkets, banks, chemists, fashion and much more, is a convenient ten-minute drive from the house. Wilderness is ideally situated for excursions to Knysna (50km), Oudtshoorn (80km), Mossel Bay (60km) and Plettenburg Bay (80km), where many more outdoor adventures, spectacular shopping and top restaurants are abundant. The area offers many world-class golf courses and frequent golf tournaments. We require a minimum stay of 2 nights.

The views from every room by

Fabulous house, definitely a must for step counters! The house is well kitted out, and very spacious. The beds were very comfortable, and the rooms lovely, light and large. Far to big really for two people but thoroughly enjoyable if you like privacy. An easy walk brought you to several nice restaurants, and a ten minute drive to the mall in George, satisfied the shopper. Everything you could ask for from food to fashion. The big bonus is the beach, for access and position this house could not be bettered, add to that friendly staff and good service. Excellent,

A beautiful house on the beach by

A beautiful, spacious house a step away from the sand. The house takes full advantage of the views and provided numerous special spaces to relax and enjoy the waves crashing on the shore. A well equipped kitchen with everything you could need. The housekeeper, Cynthia, was lovely. The showers are fantastic and provide perfect pressure. Beds are comfortable and hot blankets where a welcome sight for the colder nights.

Had such a wonderful stay at this house. The house is gorgeously spaced and we loved every minute of staying here. Will definitely recommend this house!

Spacious house with sea views from all rooms by

It would be difficult to find a holiday home with a better location. Right on the beach and close to all amenities. Rooms were spacious and although we were six adults, it was never crowded. All rooms have en suite bathrooms. The house is a bit cold though, and I would advise to bring enough warm clothing. The only other recommendation is that on day of departure, the cleaning staff would give tenants space to pack for departure and not starting to remove linen while rooms are still occupied. Otherwise we had a wonderful stay and would definitely visit again.

Hi Stella, totally agree that the house can be cold in winter and is difficult to heat because of the spacious rooms and double volume entertainment area. The electric under blankets certainly are a necessity! We'd love to host you in summer ... Wilderness is the perfect spot and the house comes into it's own with the folding doors and windows that allow the sea breeze to waft in. I will share your constructive feedback with Cynthia, but I can assure you that she was not trying to chase you out as our next guests were due a few days after your departure. For same days turnover she needs to be super efficient so perhaps her enthusiasm sometimes gets the better of her! Thank you so much for taking the time to give us a review. Tracy
