If you are seeking the idealized Karoo peace and tranquility, with dark skies and stars you will not be disappointed at 7 van Dyk. A spacious, three bed roomed Karoo cottage, unpretentious but well equipped with a lovely patio for summer braai's and an awesome fire place for cold winter nights. There is enough room for the family to spread out and have fun. Ideally situated for lovely safe scenic walks by day or night.
Comfortable beds, good linen and light for reading.in bed, games and reading material are supplied.


The house accommodates six adults in three bedrooms, with room for a young one in a camper cot; please bring your own. Bedrooms have luxury bedding, towels, fans and mosquito nets. There is one bathroom with bathtub and hand shower.

Neat and tidy by

We enjoyed our stay as the house was clean, had everything we needed and more. Quite and peaceful. We will come back for a longer stay for sure.




A homely house in a lovely town. The fireplace was great in the middle of winter. It would have been to have bags of firewood available for sale at the house, though. If you arrive late, or on the weekend, there is not always the opportunity to buy firewood in the town.

7 Van Dyk by

A large enough home with all the necessary items. Great fireplace. No shower. Dogs can easily get through the gate . Had a lovely 3 days.
