In this stylishly restored old farm house, dating back to 1954, you can come unpack, relax and rest in our beautiful agricultural surroundings. The unit can accommodate 8 people in two large bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and a spacious living area with two day beds. This unit is perfect for a family or a couple looking for the comfort of spacious accommodation.A barbecue area under the stars is also available as well as a farm dam where one can cool off in the warm summer days.

Fabulous farm stay in Augrabies by

My husband and I over-nighted at Avonrus en route to Riebeek Kasteel. The farm setting (a short walk from the Orange River) - is beautiful. The house is tasteful and very comfortable conversion of an old barn. We used one of the two ensuite bedrooms, and had masses is room - a fabulous open lounge kitchen area (fully equipped) and a private outside braai which we will use on our next visit. There has to be a next visit - the house is gorgeous, the resident Jack Russels (Tiny and Koffie) hit it off with our Yorkie, Suzie, and we all had a brilliant, but far too short, visit. We only had one night at Avonrus but the hosts were amazingly helpful. The cottage was exceptionally well equipped and a delightful, quirky place to stay
