Baleens is in situated Voelklip, 6 km from the town centre and a road from the beach and lagoon. The suburb is dignified, quiet and peaceful; even in the height of the season.
The hotel is decorated with original artwork and interesting artefacts, mainly of African origin. The private en-suite rooms, all have showers and many of them have a lovely sea view. Clean, white linen and towels are provided. Each room is fitted with TVs, Wi-Fi and tea and coffee stations.
There is a lovely heated swimming pool looking up to the mountains. In the morning, the guests often step out for an early walk or run on the beach before breakfast. Breakfast is a freshly prepared simple English breakfast of eggs and bacon with cereals, yoghurt and a big fresh fruit salad.
