?Balena Blu? (Blue whale in Italian) is a self-catering beach flatlet situated in the coastal village of Blue Horizon Bay, which is halfway between Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) and Jeffreys Bay. It was established as an urban Conservancy and is home to a wide variety of antelope, like the often-seen Bushbuck. The sea view from the unit is amazing and the sunsets are beautiful to watch. Guests can walk on the beach for kilometers and watch the dolphins and whales play in the sea. The eight kilometer beach offers long walking exercise or to relax in the sun.
Balena Blu is a fully equipped-self-catering unit with a beautiful sea view. The unit consists of a lounge/dining room/kitchenette, two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds which can become a king size bed. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and basin. The lounge has two comfortable couches, a TV with DSTV, Netflix and free WiFi, with a sliding door opening onto the deck. A Weber braai is on the deck with chairs and a table. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, fridge, microwave oven, coffee and tea facilities, crockery and cutlery. There is also an automated washing machine and dishwasher. There is a café/bar and spa walking distance from the unit.
Other attractions is Van Stadens Resort which is four kilometers from Blue Horizon Bay where day visitors can enjoy water sports in the lagoon. There are also a few wedding venues, like Slipperfields Events and Conference Venue, situated close to Blue Horizon Bay.
