We are conveniently located just off the N11 near the Grobler's Bridge / Martin's Drift Border post in the heart of the Northern Bushveld of Limpopo Province. Whether you're here for a quick stopover on your way to Botswana, a guest at a wedding, on business in the area, or just here for a visit away from the city make Baobab Lane Lodge you're home away from home.
Each of our seven private rooms are spacious suites with large comfortable bathrooms. All rooms are setup as self catering units with private braai facilities and half kitchens. Fully catered services are available but must be arranged prior to your visit. This option is available on your online booking form.
We also have a 100 square meter thatched lapa available for our guests. It is equipped with large refrigerators and freezers, gas stoves, and an indoor braai area. The lapa is also equipped with a flat screen TV and DSTV. The lapa is the perfect place for rehearsal dinners for local weddings, groups traveling to and from Botswana on safari, business groups traveling through the area, or just a great place for family and friends to relax around a fire together.
This famous Baobab Driveway was planted in 1933 and has become well known throughout South Africa. It has been featured in several books about the trees of Southern Africa and they have even been featured in a few folk songs. Almost a century ago the ?mother tree? was used as the local post office, and for decades this site has been an annual stopover point for travellers.
