Basangoma Game RanchPaulpietersburg, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa Self-catering from R 350 (family units from R 2,310) | R 350 |
The 1200 hectare Basangoma Game Ranch is situated in Northern KwaZulu-Natal between Vryheid and Paulpietersburg, and blessed with a moderate climate all year round.
This malaria free game ranch offers a luxury chalet with spectacular views of the surrounding bush and mountains from both the sheltered patio and the open-plan living room.
The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and includes all crockery, utensils, pots and pans. There is a four-burner gas hob, a microwave, a kettle, a toaster and a fridge with freezer. Dish-washing liquid and dishcloths are provided.
There is a TV and DVD player in the lounge as well as a fireplace with wood supplied. The outside patio has a portable braai.
The chalet has electricity, but because of bad weather conditions or problems with Eskom power supply, the power sometimes goes out. We do provide candles but bringing your own flashlights or camping lights is encouraged.
There is a variety of wildlife to be viewed on the farm, these include giraffe, zebra, kudu, eland, waterbuck, black wildebeest, oryx, bushbuck, blesbuck, mountain and common reedbuck, hartebeest, duiker, steenbuck, impala, springbuck, nyala and bushpig.
We also have the privilege of hosting two of the Big Five here, being the white rhino and Cape buffalo.
