Baven on Sea is a large private family holiday home nestled only 350 m from the beach in the heart of Ramsgate. The lovely home is ideal for 12 guests and is perfect for a big family retreat. The house features five comfortably furnished bedrooms and share four bathrooms with baths or showers. Each room leads out onto a patio and in addition to these patios, is another large entertainment patio where everyone can sit together and socialize while making use of the gas barbecue facility.

The lounge is comfortably furnished and a TV with DStv is also provided. The modern kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven and a microwave, with tea and coffee-making facilities provided. The gorgeous home offers spellbinding sea views that will keep you amazed and every day you will wake up and fall asleep to the sounds of the waves.

Guests can relax and enjoy the large swimming pool or visit the Ramsgate Blue Flag Beach and various shops and restaurants, which are a short walk or drive away. The area offers a variety of water sports such as kite surfing, body boarding, surfing, beach walks or horse rides, while the Margate Country Club offers golfers 18-holes to play. Other attractions in the area include the Pure Venom Reptile Park or Riverbend Crocodile Farm, and the Oribi Gorge Nature Reserve offers excellent hiking opportunities.

The place is amazing especially when the sun is out and you chillin by the pool with music watching your family swimming and dancing at the same time

Weekend get away at baven on sea by

the house is a hidden gem away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. its peaceful and tranquil. absolutely spacious and very clean but the cupboards in the kitchen had an old musky smell. could not use most of the dishes due to this. chopping and bread boards had mould on them. no gas at all in the gas bottle as a result could not use the gas braai. DSTV not connected yet we were asked to take our own decoder and smart card. a waste of time since the DSTV is not connected. its a beautiful place but sad that the advert was misleading.

Good day Me and my friends enjoyed every single hour in the house, it was spacious, the rooms we big and clean with a great sea view. the kitchen had everything that you can think of interms of bots, plates, glasses, trays and the size of the oven, fridge and microwave. the braai area hmm, spent most of our time there. The only issue we had was when we arrived few hours, one of my friend got a cut under her foot and we wished we had a notes stating that you guys run out of water from this time till this time. we were out of water from 2pm on saturday till the following day (sunday ) at 7am. All in all, we loved.... the place. even our other friends asked for contact details for it. so thumps up

The overall experience was excellent, until we had water cut from Saturday midday until we checked out on Sunday. We had no water to drink, cook, bath, clean or even to wash the dishes. We were very disappointed because Margate is a vacation area, if anything of that sort is bound to happen, it is only fair to let people know. And we reported to the owner, but we felt like they did not care. Did not even bother calling us for update or making plan B for us, at least to be able to cook and bath.
