Bayala Private Safari Lodge and Camp is a newly renovated family oriented lodge situated 3 hours' drive north of Durban's King Shaka airport. Bayala is nestled within a non-malaria, Big 5 private conservancy of close to 30,000 ha of unspoiled wilderness. View lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo and rhino amongst beautiful zebra, giraffe and various other plains game with one of our experienced rangers on an open safari vehicle. Bayala Safari Lodge and Camp are within a short drive of each other. Safari Lodge (recently renovated) and Camp (undergoing renovations) each have 24 comfortable thatch-roofed en-suite rooms decorated with neutral bushveld colours throughout. Safari Lodge boasts a beautiful and restful lounge, a rustic bar and relaxed, informal dining inside or outside, where our chefs produce a line-up of dining experiences, from a traditional ?braai? under the stars to delicious hot and cold full English breakfasts and lunches served in the lodge or on the veranda next to the pool.

We,(me & my husband) enjoyed our stay at Bayala Game Lodge. The environment at Bayala is very appealing. One big problem - mosquitoes.

Cheetahs,Leopard, Rhinos and our Game Drive experience by

We stayed here for just one night in transit to St Lucia. We should have made more time to stay extra nights. The ambiance and setting of the ranch was perfect and a truly wonderful experience . The late afternoon game drive, which was part of the room rate, was rewarded by us seeing both a pair of cheetahs and a leopard. The guide was very helpful and contributed to a once in a lifetime adventure. The road to the lodge was gravel but did not present any problems for our sedan car. The guest room was perhaps a little small but we spent so little time in the room it did not bother us. We woke up to giraffes in the garden !! Highly recommended as a holiday stay.
