The tranquil little village of Kommetjie is an ideal holiday destination for families or friends. It offers a blend of nature, beaches and mountains, catering to every traveller. This village is also home to Beach Point, a great choice for guests visiting this scenic part of Cape Town.

This thatched-roof seaside house has three bedrooms, of which two are situated on the lower level and one is situated on the upper level. The comfortable lounge has ample seating and a large fireplace for those chilly winter nights. The fully equipped kitchen is ideal for all of your self-catering needs.

The upper level also has an additional living area which leads out onto a spacious deck. Guests can look forward to appreciating panoramic views of Chapman's Peak, Hout Bay and the back of Table Mountain. It is a great place to entertain, or to simply unwind with a sundowner. The white sandy beach is just a few short steps away, the ideal place to while away summer afternoons.

Guests can spend their days exploring this lovely area by visiting the shops and restaurants. Water lovers will not be disappointed as the house has a garage stocked with surf boards, wetsuits and boogie boards. After a day of adventure, enjoy an evening swim in the swimming pool before taking a relaxing soak in the Victorian-style bath. Fall asleep listening to the sound of waves crashing against the nearby shore.

We just spent 11 amazing days at beach Point in February 2016. The house is beautiful, comfortably furnished and fully equipped. Welcoming bottle of wine & individual chocolates on arrival was so appreciated. I needed one double bed to have non-feathered duvet & cushions and this was provided. In the upstairs lounge we slept to the sound of the waves and a view of the moon lighting up the sea.  Kommetjie Beach (glimmering white powdery sand) is totally wonderful with only people walking their dogs, surfers, waves, shells & kelp. How we wished we could have brought our dog from Zambia to experience the joy of the beach & waves. Kommetjie is the perfect location as a central point for travelling to all the amazing areas of cape Town provided you have a car.  The village itself is cute & arty.  Absolutely worth every penny spent on the rental. A perfect soul enriching holiday.
