Benguela Elands Bay is situated on the point in Elands Bay. It is very, very basic, spacious and cool, with views of the sea and mountain. Close to the beach, the house sleeps up to eight people. The swimming pool is not being used due to water restrictions. The main bedroom upstairs has a double bed with a bathroom in the room. Two single beds are situated next to the stairwell and two single beds are on the far end of the living area. The downstairs bedroom has a double bed, with communal shower and toilet next door. Sheets, pillows and pillow-slips are supplied, but guests need to bring their own bedding and towels. The living room upstairs has views and access to the balcony. The kitchen is downstairs with an open-plan living room with very rustic furniture. Next to Benguela is the bungalow, The Surf Shack. It is very also very, very basic: a bedroom with a double bed, 4 single beds in the living area. The bathroom has a shower, basin and toilet. The galley kitchen has a small fridge and freezer, 2-plate stove and ovenette. There is a braai area outside. Elands Bay has an abundance of wildlife and over 240 species of birds to be found in the greater Verlorenvlei area. Flowers add to the rugged beauty, blooming these days as spring approaches. The area has a rich history and is a great place to unwind. There is plenty to do and see in the area. We keep our prices down to reflect the simplicity and rustic appeal of our holiday accommodation.
