Ben Nevis Guestfarm is a cherry farm situated at the foot of the Clocolan Mountain, just 6 km outside Clocolan on the R708. Various bushman paintings found in the mountain are evidence that the area was originally inhabited by bushmen.
Guests can choose to have bed and breakfast accommodation or experience farm life by staying in a self-catering accommodation chalet. Guests will be greeted with really warm farm-style hospitality.
Ben Nevis is the first and only registered cherry cellar in South Africa that produces unique products from pure fresh cherries. Visitors are welcome to taste a range of different cherry wines and liqueurs which is truly unique.
Horseback riding can be arranged on request and the walking trail is located against the slopes of the Clocolan Mountain for great outdoor activities. Many indigenous trees can be seen along the road and some of the names are indicated on the trees themselves. Spectacular views of Malutis and the surrounding areas can be enjoyed from the top of the mountain as well and the beautiful sandstone formations, distinctive features to the area.
The tea garden is a peaceful, shady area where refreshments are served. You can have a barbecue in the lapa and cool off in the swimming pool filled with spring water. Meals for functions and lunches can be served for large groups on request, well in advance.
