BIFROST MOUNTAIN RETREAT REVIEWS (83 %) Very pleasant by Carol Lailvaux, South Africa 05 January 2012 We had a very pleasant stay at Bifrost. Very peaceful, especially when you want to get away from it all. The house is very well equipped and More Blessings, the housekeeper, was extremely efficient and pleasant. Serita, the owner, kept in touch with us often to ensure we were happy with everything. The only thing we did mention is that the shower needs some brickwork to avoid flooding the bathroom and perhaps the drains needs to be cleared as well. We have informed Serita and she noted this. I would definitely stay there again! Bifrost Mountain Retreat by Mala Naamdhew, South Africa 15 July 2014 Bifrost is so well located and the scenery surrounding it is breath-taking. We really felt cosy and comfortable there with the lovely fires, etc. More blessings is a super host ? always so smiley and so unobtrusive. Our showers were always steaming hot and enjoyed by all. The lovely flowers she placed throughout the home was a lovely touch. She also kept us well stocked with wood for the fires which was much appreciated.We also found all the people of Haenertsburg very friendly.
There is some maintenance that is needed however, wrt main shower ? always flooded the entire bathroom when we first used it so resorted to use only second bathroom after that. The microwave also does not heat up at all and sofas will need replacing very soon. But we still had a wonderful weekend at such a unique holiday location. The house was very spacious and comfortable by Juan La Grange 29 December 2017 Although we had several days of cold, misty weather (over Christmas!), the excellent fireplace kept us warm. There was good service from the helper, Blessing. We enjoyed the good views and hiking opportunities. Bifrost by Matt Loomes 30 December 2017 We had a lovely stay at Bifrost. The house is very comfortable and is in an idyllic location. There is lots to do in the area but it is also good to just relax in the house if you do not want to travel. Moreblessings was brilliant - very friendly and kept things clean and tidy without intruding on your privacy at all. Would stay again. Some heaters or electrical blankets would be nice. The two fireplaces a bonus for the cold nights. The furniture (especially in the lounge) can do with an upgrade. The huge fireplace was magic and made the cold evenings very bearable.
