Bonnievale River Lodge has stylish accommodation and a small camp site on the Breede River. With accommodation for a total of 24 people in different houses/rooms and suites. We offer self-catering accommodation with breakfast on request. Set in the Robertson Wine Valley and only 5 minutes from the centre of Bonnievale, we are well placed to explore the wine area and the other towns close by, Robertson, Montagu, Swellendam and Mcgregor.The area offers many beautiful wine farms and activities such as swimming, canoeing, fishing, quad biking, river rafting, scenic walks and bird watching. There are grocery shops, butcher, antique shops, restaurants, banks, a pharmacy and wine farms in the town centre so no need to do your shopping first.

A wonderful weekend away by

Great campsites with wonderful hosts. We caught a lot of fish, relaxed in the quietness of nature and enjoyed the town of Bonnievale itself. A great getaway.

We really enjoyed the accommodation which was neat and tidy and all necessary utensils were readily available. Would suggest that 2 canoes are allocated to the lodge free of charge and not having to pay for the hire.

So beautiful! by

We went as a group, so the layout of the farmhouse and suites was perfect, with each couple having their own suite, but being able to use the Farmhouse as a gathering place, without having to walk a distance. The couple who stayed in the Fisherman's Cottage were further away, and also complained that the cottage, which is made of wood, didn't feel very stable. It was great to have a dishwashing machine in the Farmhouse, but it would be a good idea to keep with it a set of instructions. Not everybody has used a dishwasher and different models work differently.

Awesome spot. Everything was clean and tiday. Had an awesome braai on the Friday night where wood and blitz was supplied! Will be back!
