Only an hour´s drive from Cape Town, Bontebok Ridge Reserve offers a rare opportunity to appreciate some of South Africa's wildlife in their natural habitat. Bontebok, found exclusively in the Cape, mingle with eland, zebra, wildebeest, springbuck, duiker, grysbuck, grey reebok, and other indigenous species.Offering cosy self-catering accommodation in a magical setting, the six rustic cabins sleep two people each. We charge R2800.00 per night for a minimum of 8 guests (R350 per person per night). We prefer to keep it exclusive per group for the groups benefit. If only four people want to stay, they still pay R2800.00 per night. Children 12 and under pay half price and children 2 and under is free. A lapa is available to be used by groups and is equipped with tables, chairs, water and electricity. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and braai facilities and wood is available.Guests can enjoy various activities from a five-hole golf course, boules, fishing and swimming in the dam or rowing and there is a large grass area for kids to play.A wide variety of bird species from the small Cisticola to the amazing African Fish Eagle are ever present in the reserve. The zebra in the reserve are part of a revolutionary quagga (a zebra like animal with no stripes on the rump and legs) breeding project. The majestic mountains add to the rugged appeal of the area and offer great photographic opportunities.It's like luxury camping in nature surrounded by calls of fish eagles, fish jumping in the dam and the majestic Limietberg Moutain Range.
