With its graceful Victorian buildings dating back to the 1890s, overlooking the beautiful formal landscaped town square with the obelisk fountain, Bredasdorp Square is proudly an icon.
Upstairs are the four spacious double en-suite rooms, elegantly appointed in crisp whites, each with an old-world Victorian bath. From the colonial-appointed veranda you can relax and enjoy a view extending from the Strandveld to the Arniston Dunes. The lively complex is a favourite with locals and tourists; where one can eat, sleep and shop. Guests can explore the area, including day trips to De Hoop, Agulhas, Arniston, Napier and Elim.
Meals can be enjoyed inside at the fireplace with the glistening chandeliers, in the courtyard with the gold fish pond and wisteria, or on the patio overlooking the square garden with more than 100 iceberg rose bushes. Guests can wander through the gift and curio store and art gallery featuring artists depicting scenes which reflect the best of the southern tip of Africa.
Enjoy a hearty breakfast or café-style lunch on the sunny veranda with a view of the town square and rose garden. The courtyard offers a shady, secluded spot with the sound of gently lapping water from the beautiful lily pond with gold fish, a welcome respite on a hot summer's day.
Old-fashioned sweets are handmade on site and displayed on a beautiful cake dome, together with handmade Belgian chocolate. Bredasdorp Square offers a great alternative from the standard city venues and creates the opportunity to escape the city and venture into the scenic Overberg with easy access to nearby attractions and activities.
