Horrible. Paid SafariNow full amount via secure site and a refundable ?damage' deposit to manager of flat (501 Canterbury Square). Harassed the whole week to give credit card details without a satisfactory explanation ? or face eviction. I reluctantly complied ? but demands escalated. Flat manager sent e-mail wanting imprint of my card (full account number) and copy of the back (CVV number) ? giving free access to my funds!! Deposit withheld because flat manager in a dispute with SafariNow. To add insult to injury ? the flat is shabby, poorly equipped, and ridiculous cancelation policy not provided upfront. STAY AWAY! There are far better booking agencies and venues in Cape Town.

Not a pleasant experience. Firstly you have to travel all the way to Seapoint to fetch your keys. Luckily my husband was with me, because I didn't feel safe in the area as there were lots of vagrants loitering around. Even after I explained to Vassi that I am very familiar with Cantebury Square & how things work, we were still subjected to a lengthy slide show. A R2000 deposit is required, which I have never had to do with any other establishment. You are not paying a budget price and yet you feel like you have budget accommodation. The flat was clean. Everything is very basic, linen & towels are threadbare and don't fit properly. All the crockery, glasses etc are mismatched and you feel terrified of using anything in case it breaks and you lose your deposit. You have to switch the main electricity on yourself, so don't think of having a shower when you arrive. The toilet seat was broken & the toilet didn't flush properly. The parking bay is really small and if you have an SUV, you certainly won't be able to use it. Cantebury Square is very central and an upmarket Block, however this flat does not reflect that at all, which is very unfortunate. We have stayed in another flat at Cantebury Square, which was fabulous, but we will never stay in this flat again.
