Carpe Diem House

This historic house is over 170 years old and is one of the original homes of Knysna.
Carpe Diem House has been decorated with flair and style. We intend to create a unique and comfortable space where our guests will feel at home, as well as being surrounded by beauty and colour. We have many original South African artworks on the walls and strive to offer an eclectic but sympathetic space where our guests will be able to unwind and relax.
Knysna is based in one of the most beautiful areas of South Africa and we proved the perfect central base to explore the Garden Route and all its attractions. Carpe Diem House is ideal for a long stay as well as for a stopover on your way to the other delights South Africa can offer.
Apartment ? Sleeps a maximum of 4 people
The character-filled one-bedroom apartment has a large private lounge and a separate additional toilet room with washbasin and large built-in cupboards.
The lounge has wooden floors and high ceilings with a roof fan. It is a lovely room for entertaining or relaxing. There is a double sleeper couch in the lounge offering a bed for up to two additional persons.
The bedroom has a large Queen-sized bed, with Sealy mattress, and ensuite bathroom (shower only) with toilet and washbasin. The bedroom also has a built-in cupboard and a roof-mounted fan.
The apartment has an enclosed veranda and a Weber barbecue is available for making charcoal-fired meals on the veranda.

We offer DSTV (South Africa's premier television channel offering the best of British, American and international programs and world sports coverage). We also offer high-speed WiFi.
The house is up the road from Knysna's original Anglican Church, Catholic Church, and an evangelical church. It is walking distance to the Methodist and NG churches.
The Gym at the Royal Hotel, down the street, offers daily gym memberships and has a heated pool.
The house is walking distance to town, shopping malls, and restaurants. It is central to all the attractions of Knysna and surrounds.
There is off-street parking for cars and or trailers behind locked gates.
