Casa 24 Baleia Azul

The lodge is located in Southern Mozambique, 106 km from Maputo, capital of Mozambique and about 20 km from the South African border, Kosi Bay. It is situated 250 m from the famous and unforgettable Frederico beach by the warm Indian Ocean on the Baleia Azul Estate, Ponta Mamoli. The lodge is located in a rich natural garden that usually is full of birds as well as monkeys. The lodge overlooks a beautiful green valley as well as part of the ocean.

To get to the lodge you have to cover a distance of 20 km of very wild sandy roads without any signs as to how to get there. The option is to have a GPS and use the co-ordinates or ask the people for directions. If you don't have a 4 x 4 an arrangement can be made to collect you from the border, or from the airport in Maputo. The same person can be your driver. The prices per day can be arranged and pay to the driver.

The lodge consists of 4 luxury chalets. They are connected by wooden walkways. Each chalet has its own patio, inside the chalet you find a king size very comfortable bed and two single beds in the loft. Each chalet is equipped with air-conditioning, ceiling fan, coffee station, mini bar fridge, and a safe. The bathroom consists of a toilet, basin and shower with hot water.

The main house is connected to each chalet by the same wooden walkway and consists of an extremely rich equipped kitchen with gas and electrical facilities. The kitchen is connected to the TV room with a flat screen TV and DSTV leading to a reading area with a balcony overlooking a beautiful valley. Both rooms lead onto the upper deck where you can find a table that can accommodate 20 people as well as an outside sitting area and heated Jacuzzi. The whole area is lit by solar panel lighting.

The lower deck has beautiful green surroundings with a swimming pool, braai area, restaurant and bar. This whole area is secured by CCV cameras. The back side of the lodge you can find a modern bathroom with a shower, toilet and basin that is usually used by the guests.

The lodge has a very secure free parking that can accommodate up to five cars. The lodge provides a 4 x 4 car for hire which is parked at the lodge.

Our friendly staff is responsible for the general cleaning and housekeeping of the lodge. A special arrangement can be made to have a butler with personal walkie talkie.

The surrounding area within a radius of 7 km is brimming with restaurants and bars that are usually very vibrant.

Social activities at the lodge and around consist of, snorkeling, diving, dune climbing, fishing, whale and dolphin watching, deep sea fishing, beach volley ball, walking trails, bird watching, ax throwing, knife throwing, archery, and lake fishing and 4 x 4 quad driving.
