Casa Cara Lodge

Casa Cara Lodge offers a wide range of accommodation, from luxury self-catering units to campsites that lie on the banks of the Vaal River 8 kilometres outside Paris. Casa Cara Lodge is also a beautiful, romantic wedding and function venue. The venue offers an outdoor timber deck that stretches over a huge dam and is surrounded by water.

The lodge can accommodate 32 guests in total. The self-catering accommodation is in the lodge itself and offers standard, deluxe and superior units. The units each have a fridge, microwave, ceiling fan, king-size bed, en-suite bathroom and braai area. Some units have their own outdoor living area with a bush Lapa and a kitchen.

Tent accommodation consists of luxury sailing tents available to rent for most of the units. The caravan sites boast their own braai, toilet, shower, basin, power points and fishing spot.

Casa Cara Lodge is located in the Vredefort Dome World Heritage Site and is surrounded by the most beautiful scenery. The fields surrounding the lodge boast numerous native wildflowers and shrubs.

There is an entertainment area with a playground, swimming pool and a restaurant 700 metres from the accommodation. The playground and use of the pool are included in the rate. Access to the zoo is R40 per person
