CasaKasa - Bagamoyo

CasaKasa Bagamoyo is a new private beach house located just on the outskirts of Mlingotini. Privacy on the four-acre plot is properly secured and the garden is fully developed, with peacocks strolling freely around. A paved garden entertainment area features barbecue facilities and a separate kitchen, the perfect location for parties or for a couple appreciating the bonfire. We can also arrange a local band or dance troop to entertain.

The pool area features a lounge section, a sunbathing area with a shower, as well as an area for dining. Separate toilet facilities cater for both the pool area as well as the garden entertainment area. A paved walkway leads straight to the beach, while a private concrete slipway can be used for launching boats.

The main house is designed as a traditional Zanzibar mansion. Details including furniture, windows and the carved doors are built based on architecture from long ago. On the ground floor are a spacious reception area and three bedrooms. One of these is self-contained; the other two are in a separate corridor and share a bathroom. One bedroom has a king-size bed and one double bed and the other two bedrooms have one king-size bed in each. All bedrooms and the reception are fully air-conditioned.

Upstairs features the living areas and kitchen, with a breathtaking view of the lagoon and the Indian Ocean. On clear days we can also see across to Zanzibar. The living area is open to take full advantage of the view and the cooling breeze. A traditional wooden fishing boat separates the dining area and the lounge. The dinner table is normally set for eight guests, however can be extended for up to 20. The lounge area also has a smaller dining table, ideal for four people.

A bar separates the kitchen from the living area. The kitchen is equipped with gas cooker and barbecue, and big windows with shutters only enhance the feeling of openness. There is also a separate guest wing comprising three bedrooms and one bathroom.

A powerful generator secures lighting and air-conditioning independent of the local network. Food can be provided according to the request of each client. The layout of the property secures complete privacy, and a separate Swahili-style servant wing houses staff for cleaning, laundry and gardening. Security staff reside in the village.

CasaKasa Bagamoyo is the perfect base for experiencing East Africa for honeymooners, families and smaller groups looking for privacy and luxury. From our local airstrip, you can be in Zanzibar in only 40 minutes, or we can arrange for you to sail across from the beach in front of the house by a traditional dhow. We can also assist in arranging safaris from the local airstrip or by car.
