Chawaba Camping Village

Chawaba Camping Village is located in the premises of the South Beach Resort in Dar es Salaam. The village is surrounded by luscious greenery and guests have access to the South Beach Resort facilities.

Chawaba Camping Village offers nine Camping Cabins or the choice of camping in their own tents. The cabins are historical-type huts made of Makuti and they are furnished with mattresses and mosquito nets. Each unit has electricity and although they can each sleep a maximum of six guests at an additional cost, only one mattress is provided.

Up to 50 tents can be placed around the grounds, but guests need to bring their own tents. Ablutions are shared between the cabins and campers and 24-hour security is provided. Portable barbecue pits are provided on request and charcoal is provided at a surcharge; campers have to bring their own barbecue utensils. Ample parking is available for all types of vehicles.

Guests can relax and enjoy the facilities that the South Beach Resort has to offer such as the swimming pool and the Jacuzzi which is big enough for 22 people. The beachfront is ideal for beach parties or watching the sun rise. Water sports such as swimming, volleyball, jet-skiing and tanning can be enjoyed. Guests have access to the Rifu's Bar and Grill which serves Indian, Chinese and local Tanzanian cuisine. The Whisky Shack and in-house DJ will ensure you dance until the sun rises.
