Perfect Stay by

We had a super time at Constantia Lazy River. We stayed in the Arum and Froggs Leap cottages -- they open up perfectly if you are a bigger group!

The accomodation is not just accepting of children it is truly child friendly and they made my littlies feel so welcome. My children loved the garden -- it was hard to get them to leave

The location was perfect for what we wanted. Really close to great shops so makes self catering so easy.

We had everything we needed and Janine made sure we were well looked after!

No doubt we will be back!

Not as pleasant as the pictures make out by

Very disappointing; not charming at all. Place could do with a good clean and a maintenance overall.
Stayed in Arum Cottage - poor wi-fi signal; two tv channels and a poor picture; very sad towels; milk in the fridge was sour; toilet seat in one bathroom needs replacing... We won't be returning.

Establishments response:

Sheay Harvey, booked my two bedroom cottage for 3 adults and a child and stayed for 2 nights as she was looking at property to move into permanentaly in Cape Town. She was out all day and returned late in the evening on both nights.

She has complained that the milk I left in the fridge for her as complementary for when she arrived, was sour, the expiry date was after the date when she arrived, so the milk should have been fine but turned sour for an unknown reason. This could have been easily sorted , if she informed us.

She complained that the towels need replacing, the towels were bought one month ago and there isn't a stain , mark or thread out of place. I have rechecked them with my staff.

She complained that the toilet seat was unhygienic and needed replacing, the toilet seat is a lime washed wooden seat with a silver metal hinges, it has no splits, no marks , it doesn't wobble in anyway so I can't understand why it would need replacing.

She complained about the shower rose, these are special oxygenated shower heads that are the greenest on the market and save the most water.

She complained about the TV and the reception of the TV, we have TV1,2 and 3 and 3 DSTV channels, one on M Net at all times, one is on sport at all times and one we have for requests if guess want to see something in particular, we also have BBC news running all the time.

She complained that the standard twin flat bed sheets that one would buy from any shop were the incorrect size and don't fit the bed. One can't get smaller sheets , the smallest is twin and are standard.

She complained that the sliding door going into the bedroom, was broken. I agree, that the sliding door sometimes comes off the track and it can stick a bit when closing. We will get this attended to .

She complained about the wifi . I have the same problem in my own house, certain areas have better reception than others. It requires one to move around into an area with the reception is better.

She complained that the unit was dirty and needed TLC. We had a party of Austrian's staying with us for a week, that left two days prior to her arrival. The unit was served after they left by my two staff members and re dusted and checked on the day of arrival. We have just replaced all the flooring in the cottage, all the curtains are new, all the soft furnishings have just been replaced. All the bed pillows have been replaced. We are constantly upgrading. When a guest arrives, we have fresh flowers in the room, their are chocolates on the bed, there is complementary tea and coffee and a jug of milk to get one started as the units are self catering. I offered , Mrs Harvey a tray of tea or coffee on arrival which they declined as they were in a hurry to view properties.

I take comments very seriously as we put allot of love into our units and we don't like to have unhappy guests, no place is going to be perfect 100% of the time, We are a family run establishment where guests are made to feel at home and welcome , we have been in business for 23 years and we have loads of guests that extend their stays and also return to us. Our property was not to Mrs Harvey standards and as much as we would like to make all guests happy, we can only continue to strive for this.

Regards
