Copperleigh Trout Cottage is a beautiful, modern self-catering holiday home built overlooking the calm waters of Mavela Dam, a fly fisherman's dream. The two-story cottage is located on our fully functioning sheep and cattle farm. The open-plan lounge, fully equipped kitchen and dining room are located on the ground floor as is the garage and guest toilet. A double sleeper couch is available in the lounge for 2 guests to make use of. Enjoy complimentary DSTV Premium and WiFi. A complimentary bundle of firewood is provided each day (more can be purchased from management).

There are three bedrooms upstairs (2 with queen size beds which can sleep 2 adults each and feature electric blankets, ceiling fans and hairdryers; the loft room has a queen size bed & a bunk bed suitable for 4 kids sharing); the two bathrooms each have a shower and toilet. All linens and bath towels are provided. Occasional housekeeping.

Free access to Mavela Dam from the cottage garden should you wish to go trout fishing, please provide own fly fishing equipment, and bring your own swimming towels. Some scenic walks available on the farm. Some kayaks with paddles and life jackets are free for guests to use. *Please note that we can't accommodate pets.

Modern cottage off the beaten track by

The unit is perfectly equipped, has modern furniture and fittings, with all the small details taken care of. The books, DVD's and fireplace were great when the rain arrived. We really enjoyed the private setting over the dam, and hiked up the Inhlosane peak which is 2kms up the road. A great weekend getaway; we'll definitely be back.

Our holiday was perfect! Unparalleled beauty in the mountains and manicured gardens with a stunning cottage to match! Hubby and the kids had a ball with the sheep and cows!

We loved our tranquil and serene stay at Copperleigh. We loved the welcome basket received on arrival, the towel heating rack, electric blankets, the daily helper, firewood already stacked, the clean and new finishes, full DSTV and wifi.
