Country Cottage Collection is home in the quiet village of Hogsback, set in a forest oasis of the Amathole mountain range, high above the hot, dry plains of the Eastern Cape.

Hogsback is a quiet celebration of the richness of life; a place to restore the soul. The two self-catering cottages, Thatchfield and Nutwood Cottages, have been tastefully developed in sympathy with the country cottage tone of the property and surrounding countryside.

In a land of emerald forests, aloud with the echos of Cape parrots and the croak of loeries as they flash their scarlet underwings amidst the treetops, Thatchfield and Nutwood Cottages provide a quality accommodation in what some would call paradise.

A beautiful cottage, lovely view and everything you need for a comfortable and happy stay

We missed the original booking, and were kindly given another cottage, this one was lacking in basic Amenities, eg. Knives very blunt, bathroom soap dispenser in shower missing, and new pillows would be most welcome. But, dogs thoroughly enjoyed the forest! Maybe rates a little high.
