Cuckoo Ridge Country Retreat

Situated in the heart of an indigenous forest this oasis of lawn and selected trees offers a tranquil setting overlooking a valley of lush greenery and adjacent fruit farms. The all-weather concrete access road winds its way through an indigenous landscape with the occasional sighting of Red Duiker, Bush Buck, vervet monkeys and bands of mongoose.Relax in the sun by the rock pool or in the shade of the boma with a book from our library, your private covered veranda in your chalets offers views over the Majajekulo river valley. Braai (Barbeque) under the stars listening to the African night, on quiet nights the sound of running water from the Majajekulo river can be heard between the cries of the Bush babies as they go about their nocturnal lives. Cuckoo Ridge offers 5 chalets, each unique with their own character. Guests have the option of either bed and breakfast chalets or self-catering chalets. Each bed and breakfast chalet has either a king- or queen-size bed, an en-suite bathroom, and a private lounge. Each self-catering chalet has a fully equipped kitchen, an open-plan lounge and dining area, and is equipped with a TV with selected DSTV channels, air-conditioning in the bedroom, a ceiling fan in the lounge, a hairdryer, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. All linen and towels are provided, along with gowns and cutlery and crockery. Guests have access to free WI-FI and covered parking..Cuckoo Ridge is approximately 26 km from the Kruger National Park, entering through Phabeni Gate, and is approximately 3 km from the Sabie River Adventure Centre which offers river rafting, quad biking, horseback riding to name but a few.
