Cypress Cottage B&B

Cypress Cottage B&B is an 18th century Cape Colonial homestead situated in the heart of the Overberg in Swellendam.

Cypress Cottage offers guests a choice of staying in the cosy Country Room or Family Suite which is perfect for a family or group of four, the Mediterranean or one of the two African Rooms, the Victorian or the Garden Suite. The rooms are furnished with comfortable beds and each room has an en-suite bathroom. All the rooms are equipped with TVs and tea and coffee facilities are available. Some rooms have a private entrance with easy access to the pool. Children under the age of 10 stay for free.

Every morning guests can enjoy a scrumptious breakfast and in winter, breakfast is served in the dining room in front of the log fire. Children are welcome and secure parking bays are available. The B&B is located within walking distance of the many old buildings that have been declared National Monuments in Swellendam.

Swellendam is the ideal base from which to explore the neighbouring southern Cape, Breede River Valley and the Klein Karoo and various national parks and nature reserves can be found in the area, where guests can view various animals, wild flowers and fynbos or do some hiking and mountain biking.
