DanielsHoogte is a working farm rich in fynbos and situated at the top of Aurora Mountain, approximately 800 metres above sea level. This hidden gem boasts spectacular views of St Helena Bay on the beautiful West Coast as well as the farmlands of Piketberg to the east. On a clear day Table Mountain is visible in the far distance.
DanielsHoogte offers a relaxed country getaway, far enough from the hustle and bustle of city life. We have three self-catering mountain cottages situated in various locations on the farm.
This private reserve boasts much fauna and flora to be appreciated by any lover of the outdoors. It is a bird watcher's haven, with 85 different bird species having been sighted thus far. The Protea Atlas Project has identified several endangered and endemic protea species in the reserve.
Hikers and cyclists are able to explore and enjoy the natural surrounds with many rocky outcrops and bushman paintings to view. You can cool off in one of our dams on a hot summer's day. Please note there is a minimum charge per night for Aristea, Chink and Disa apply, hence we advise guests to request the appropriate tariffs.
