Ideal for a weekend getaway, the farm and cabins of Dargle Forest Lodge are set overlooking the Dargle Valley, Inhlosane Mountain and a natural forest. Great for hiking, cycling, mountain biking, bird watching and star gazing, while also having all that the Midlands Meander has to offer just a short, scenic drive away.

DARGLE FOREST LODGE REVIEWS (76 %) The peace and tranquility by Lukas Pieterse 11 December 2017 There is nothing to improve. a Cabin in the forest, away from the stresses of daily life. AMAZING. Sean and Bridgette were always available for help, but they left us to enjoy the splendor of the valley on our own. Best getaway spot I've been to. Camping in Peace and Quiet by Deon Joubert 04 January 2018 Camping at Dargle Forest Lodge was wonderful, a great way to relax and decompress after a busy year. The views seen while hiking or just looking out of your tent are fantastic. The facilities are basic but provide the necessary comforts (hot water, lights, electricity, etc). The owners are very helpful and checked in on us after a hectic storm in the night. They even sold us ice for our drinks!
The last bit of road from the farm gate to the camp is rough, but we made it in a VW Polo without any damage to the vehicle by driving very slowly and carefully. A bit more ground clearance and we would not have worried. Dargle with the Dargs by Mary Murray 09 January 2018 We enjoyed the stay in a very comfortable little self-catering wooden chalet. The hosts were welcoming. My dogs loved it, however it was definitely tick season. As the whole place is new, there aren't yet developed paths/trails into the valley. Once those are established to enable some proper walks, it'll be fab. ;-) Getting into the heart of the countryside by Wendy Byerley 28 January 2018 If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, this is the place to go. Shaun and Bridgette are super friendly hosts and have provided a perfect environment to relax and unwind. Thanks both of you for your wonderful hospitality. You will definitely see us again and again - Alec and Wendy Very Rustic by Dirk Le Roux 12 March 2018 This is the first time we went Glamping. Was not what i expected. The road to the resort was very bad, you should have a warning for high clearance 4x4, suv or double cab. The beds were hard as rock and the cabins were not very insulated. They could have had extra bedding as one thin duvet was not enough. My tent setup would have been a lot more comfortable. The place it self was very nice with amazing view. Will i go back no. Establishments response: Hi Dirk. Thanks for the review. I do feel its worth responding to some of your comments. In an email booking confirmation sent directly to you was an attachment with all the info about the cabin and the lodge . In this info it clearly states the road is not in good condition and to take it easy over some areas. We have low sedan cars every week ( 2 were here at the same time as your group ) and they managed just fine. A 4x4 or Suv is not essential to reach us at all. It also states in the email to being extra linen as the cabin can be chilly at night and we provide 1 pillow and 1 duvet. As a new developing establishment we gladly accept constructive criticism to help us improve as we go. We have taken great care to set up a clear infomation sheet sent to each guests so they are fully aware of what to expect. Unfortunately if a guest does not read this or acknowledge it, that's not in our control and not fair to be publicly negatively reviewed about it. We have taken all your other comments as constructive criticism and thank you for your feedback. Regards, Incredible views, peace and tranquillity! by Bronwyn Gahagan 04 April 2018 Views are incredible, lovely cabins, lovely demarcated viewing points and walks. The ablutions are so clean and well designed. Outside boma area and seated area very well designed and comfortable. Cabins are lovely spacious and well equipped! Only complaint is very hard mattresses.
Lovely hosts, very impressive cabins and ablutions. DARGLE FOREST LODGE LOCATION
