Centrally situated, there is much to do and see in and around the small fishing town of Gansbaai. Slip away from your otherwise busy lifestyle, get out, breathe fresh air, and see nature's beauty.
Visit the lighthouse at Danger Point, explore the rock pools or at high tide, swim in the tidal pool just eight minutes' walk from the house. Dads can enjoy fishing off the rocks along the large spread of coastline in the area or take chartered fishing trips at Kleinbaai. If you're feeling adventurous, explore the Klipgat Caves at De Kelders or go shark cage diving in Kleinbaai. For the more leisurely guests, watch whales close up from the rocks or from a boat at Kleinbaai during whale season.
In the month of April, guests can enjoy the very popular annual Crayfish Derby, right here in Gansbaai, or in October, take the Art Route and view fine art as well as mingle with the artists at Baardskeerdersbos, located close by. In June come and enjoy the Festival of Geese or the Fees van die Ganse and in December eat scrumptious fish at the annual Geelbek Derby.
Quad bike trails are available at Franskraal just a short distance away, and a couple of minute's drive from the house you can take the children to visit the Doll Museum or treat the whole family to a riverboat cruise on the Klein River at Stanford.
A once-off key and cleaning fee of R550 per stay is charged for services rendered on arrival and upon departure of guests. No late arrivals after office hours or public holidays will be entertained unless by prior arrangement in writing. A late arrival fee for pre-arranged arrivals after 18h00 of R250.00 will be charged.
