23 Houtbosch Bay Chalet

23 Houtbosch Bay Chalet is located in a complex in a small private nature reserve that lies adjacent to the beach in Aston Bay; it offers easy access to the beach.

The chalet consists of two bedrooms with double beds and two single beds on the landing. There are two bathrooms and we provide linen and towels. A camp cot is available and guests need to bring their own beach towels. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with a stove, an oven, a microwave, a fridge and tea and coffee facilities. Guests can enjoy their meals at the dining table and the lounge is equipped with a TV and DStv facilities, but guests need to bring their own decoder and smart card. The living room also opens onto a big deck which has a braai and enjoys lovely sea views. The beach is 120 m away with access from a boardwalk.

The beaches in and around Jeffreys Bay and Aston Bay are safe and the water is warm, so swimming and water sports such as surfing are the main pastime. Guests can enjoy scuba diving, snorkelling, boat trips, fishing, sailing, canoeing and body surfing. Other sports include mountain biking, beach horse rides and a 9-hole golf course. Guests can visit the Shell Museum which displays shells from other countries and birders should visit the Kabeljous Estuary and Nature Reserve, Noorsekloof Nature Reserve and Seekoei River Estuary.
