House is equipped with washing machine, outdoor Jacuzzi, DSTV connections (bring own decoder / card / cables) (2 double beds, 2 single beds, 1 double fold up sleeper couch) (Sleeps 8) "suitable for smaller children).No arrivals accepted on Christmas Day or Day of Goodwill, or on 1 January. Minimum nights required:Out of season ? 2 nights,Mid season, school holidays ? 5 nights Long weekends ? 3 nights,Peak season ? 7 nights Guests are required to pay a non - refundable reservation / admin fee of R500.00, as well as a refundable fee deposit of R500.00 at least one week before arrival.

Worst coast going experience of my life! by

I am going to start off this review with the, very few, positives:
  1. Jacuzzi.
  2. Big TV.
Now for the, many, negatives:
  1. Uncomfortable beds.
  2. No oven (which the description said it did when i booked).
  3. Rusted stove top.
  4. Small rusted braai (was only replaced when i complained about it).
  5. Mould was found in the fridge (even after the cleaning lady had been there that day).
  6. Light fittings without bulbs (lounge, bedroom).
  7. Missing curtains where the neighbours outdoors lights shine through.
  8. Dirt on the walls.
  9. The letting agency, Uvongo estates, are totally useless.
To Sum it up, i would not recommend this unit to my worst enemy, and if you are considering this unit, i suggest that you move on now, even if this is your last resort...


Horrible by

This was the worst time in my life. The South Coast is my holiday destination since 2010 but 860 York Place was the horrible time for me and my family. For almost 10 nights we were treated very bad. The house is not well looked after. The bad odour inside the house; Both bedrooms have uncomfortable beds with no legs on the base. Hmmm even after sending emails or trying to call Mrs Rushworth she didn't respond not take our calls. I will never ever go back to that place.
