A warm welcome awaits you at the Adansonia Hotel in Francistown, located on the banks of the Tati River and approximately 8 km from the city centre. Gaze onto lush greens or the clear swimming pool to sooth your senses. The hotel consists of spacious Standard, Deluxe and Executive air-conditioned rooms. We offer wall-to-wall carpeted rooms which exhibit a distinctive contemporary charm, designed and furnished with careful attention to detail with modern amenities. This is one of the oldest towns in Botswana and site of southern Africa's first gold rush. Francistown is a typical frontier town, strategically placed as the gateway to the north with all the main roads to Gaborone, Zimbabwe, Maun and Kazungula passing through it. It manages to maintain its character despite being Botswana's second largest urban centre and capital of the north.

ADANSONIA HOTEL BEWERTUNGEN (60 %) Excellent by Evert Van Geuns, South Africa 01 April 2013 Excellent hotel and superb service. My week at Adansonia by Stan Komar, South Africa 20 December 2013 My arrival went smoothly, no booking problems.
The room I was given (48) is a bit cramped but I understand that all their Standard Rooms are like that.
The day I arrived it was about 37 degrees so I switched on the air-conditioner. It didn't work, I looked at the remote control and saw that it was dead. The lady at reception gave me another remote. So I tried it and discovered that the air-conditioner itself didn't work.
I reported this to the receptionist and she said that someone would come and show me how to use the air-conditioner. No-one came.
On my way out I told the receptionist that no-one had been to help. Once again she said she'd get someone to go and sort it out.
I returned late at night and discovered that nothing had been done. I suffered through the night from the heat and the mosquitoes.
In the morning I complained again to the receptionist. A different one this time. She said someone would sort it out during the day.
By mid afternoon nothing happened. I then insisted that they move me to a different room. They moved me next door to room 50. I tried the air-conditioner immediately and it also didn't work.
So they moved me again, this time to room 47. The air-conditioner did work so I was quite happy.
However, when I tried to get internet access there wasn't any. I complained again.
The funny thing is downstairs there is access, in the restaurant there is access, in the chalets their is access. But upstairs in the hotel there is no reliable access. Sometimes you get connected to Chalets or AP1 but it is weak and very unreliable.
As I was on business in Francistown I needed reliable access. I found the only way was to go sit in the restaurant/bar area.
Apart from the above. Food in the restaurant was good the bar service was friendly. Except they had run out of draught on tap, and remained run out all week.
Would I stay there again. Yes. But I'd insist they try the air-conditioner before I got there and the internet access. Adansonia stay by Esme Van Niekerk, South Africa 24 December 2013 We arrived very late in the evening and left early in the morning, so I cannot comment on any activities at the Hotel.
We found the room average and even though we booked for 4 people, we had only 1 towel in our bedroom.
The mattress supplied for our children was also of very poor quality and so thin they might as well have slept on the carpet. ADANSONIA HOTEL LAGE
