A Farm Story was born from a tradition that believes that a story speaks to the soul and the heart. History and fond memories were transferred into a country house in 2008. We invite you to experience an old Farmhouse Story.
Historical points: The Country House was originally known as Oom Tom se huis. The country house was established in the early 1800's on the farm Klein Soebattersvlakte. During the most southern battle (Anglo boer war 1901) the stables were used as a hospital. The first ever gravel road between Riversdale and Stilbaai was built on the farm and is still in use today. The famously known store Oom Boet se Winkel was the only general dealer in the 1900's.
What awaits you: today's accommodation in yesterday's style and traditional hospitality. Braai facilities. Guided tour to the cheese factory on the farm, including cheese tasting.
