My stay at Albatros by

My stay nearly became unpleasant due to the receptionist who insisted on articulating herself in Zulu just because I am black even after I had told her that I cannot hear her.
The first room I was shown was stuffy and very dirty even volunteered to clean it myself after I realized that it was not going to be cleaned for me.
I was finally offered an alternative room which was a lot better, however the breakfast was horrible.

It is very sad that I read your review of our Guesthouse. I understand your comment of the room being stuffy as we were having a Heat wave in Newcastle and we do air our rooms on a daily basis but do to the weather I cannot do much. Shiela informed me about the fact that you did not like the room and yet she gave you another room and you were very happy about the room. Shiela is a Zulu speaking lady and always speaks to the guests in their language she was not aware that you were not a Zulu lady but she did speak to you in English during your stay. Most of our guests inform us of their language of choice and I can put your mind at rest as the African guests at our guesthouse are very impressed with the fact that they are addressed in their language I am so sorry that you felt offended when she only meant well. I do not agree with you that the room was dirty as I personally with Shiela prepared your room for you and I take a lot of pride in the ladies work done here under very difficult circumstances sometimes with the tremendous heat and also rain storms. About the breakfast we have had over 200 hundred guests staying here in the last two months and every one of them have always said the breakfast is fabulous pity you felt it was horrible and could not inform Shiela that you did not enjoy the breakfast but thank you for not wasting the breakfast as I believe you did finish your breakfast. Lucky for us at Albatros we have 199 happy guests and 1 unhappy guest. One day we will meet and I hope the circumstances will be different sometimes we must thank God for people like Shiela who will go the extra mile complain less and be happy then our lives will also be glorified in Gods eyes. Should you feel you need to speak to me in person contact me as I feel you should have done that in the first place instead of writing this review. We appreciate reviews and learn from them but then they must be fair. God bless you and your family
