Not the best of both worlds by

After seeing the photo's and information on the website and paying 600 rand (more then for a safaritent in a camp within Kruger itself) plus a 120 rand entrance fee, we expected a whole lot more then what we got. After arriving at the reserve at 16:15, we found the office all ready closed. Luckely there was a ground keeper at the camp (where we got send to by the gatekeeper) to help us. His hospitality and efforts to compensate for every of the shortcomings of the camp itself makes up for the one star I still care to give.
The tent itself was smelly, had holes and the zipper of the insect screen behind the not-closing "door" was broken, giving musquito's and the vervet monkeys free entrance into the tent. The uncomfortable, not very clean looking beds had worn out matratresses. Once prepared for it, this could have given us adventurers an adventurous, outdoorsy feeling, if we did get the rustique feeling of seven fenceless safaritents we were hoping for. There were however a whole lot more tents, blocking the view on the NP (behind a fence and dirt road...). Mostly blocking our view however were the huge, luxary coocking and dining tent, wich, like the braai, were only to be used by the guide of a certain safari company, of which the guide played loud music and the clients where talking untill 2 am. A good way to meet new people, but not as "quiet and rustique" as we expected for an early start. We were send to the "communal kitchen", consisting of a very filthy, outdated electric hotplate and a molded fridge. There was no sink to do the dishes or a tap to collect water in your own tank for that matter.Luckely the guide of the safari company was so nice as to cook us some water. Afterwards we found out that the ablutions did have runnig hot water, but weren't that clean and virtualy in the open air, with only a moldy shower curtain to shelter you from the outside world (including the toilet). Again: this could be adventurous, if the price would be lower and one is prepared for it. To make it a true, rustique bush camp, there also shouldn't be bright lights all around the camp, scaring off the animals (if there are any besides the ververt monkeys), luring the mosquito's and making it impossible to see any stars.
All in all: if a serious reorganisation of the camp, repairing of the tents and reducing of the price would take place, it has the potential of being cheap, rustique (or multinational, luxerious) place to explore the kruger from. We for sure didn't get more then halve our money's worth.

Poor servive! by

We booked for a night at Andover for the night of Sunday, 28th August 2016, and paid our deposit. We arrived at the entrance just after lunch on the Sunday only to find the gates closed. We tried phoning both the cell phone as well as the landline numbers, but in spite of repeated efforts there was no reply.

We eventually went to a neighbouring safari lodge to find out if they could tell us what was happening, but to no avail.

We were extremely inconvenienced, nearly had our holiday spoilt, and would certainly not recommend Andover Safari Tents.

We would like our deposit back as soon as possible.

Extremely bad by

Really found the management as well as staff very unprofessional, staff were drunk, as well as we were locked out of our accommodation during our stay and were unable to stay our full stay forcing us to find alternative accommodation due to the management and staff locking us out, would highly recommend if safari now could remove this accommodation from their website and would never suggest any person to book here, really disappointed in the mismanagement and quality of the place.
